My recent Pap test showed abnormalities diagnosed as low-SIL. Therefore, the doctor ordered an HPV test which came back negative. Today I had a colposcopy and the doctor said that it seemed quite normal, but a biopsy to be sure.

I do not know what evidence to believe. I know that the Pap test may be inaccurate, but rarely a false positive result. So who, if I a low-grade SIL, I read almost sure that was caused by HPV. I know that the HPV test in the test for high-risk types, but I read in low-risk types is usually not to big changes in the cervical cells. What exactly is wrong with me? I just wanted to know if anyone had been in this situation and what was the result.
